DB Sterlin provided construction management services for roadway projects, which included work within CDOT’s office as well as at project sites throughout the City of Chicago. Primary responsibilities included providing constructability review, contract administration, verifying contractor’s construction layout, project documentation control, construction inspection, scheduling meetings, and project closeout. In addition, DB Sterlin made sure that the project cost, schedule, adherence to contract drawings, specifications, and milestones were fulfilled avoiding unnecessary delays, contract modifications, and claims.
The scope of work of the construction engineering task order assignments for which Phase III construction engineering services were sought included, but were not limited to pavement reconstruction or resurfacing, pavement patching, miscellaneous concrete work, reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, streets, lighting installation, and replacement, signal modernization, sewer installation, utility structure rehabilitation/ adjustment, resurfacing or reconstruction of alleys, bridge construction or rehabilitation, restoration of parkways, installation of sod and landscaping, tree planting placement of pavement markings.
