Independence Boulevard and Central Park Avenue Structures Over I-290

DB Sterlin’s services include conducting hands-on inspections of substructures and retaining walls, and providing miscellaneous civil design services such as MOT, environmental, drainage, utility coordination and design, and OUC permitting. We are also performing structural analysis and design for bridge superstructures and abutments, carrying out miscellaneous concrete repairs for substructures, and conducting a full survey.
The project scope consists of Phase II engineering services for the improvement of Independence Boulevard and Central Park Avenue bridge structures over I-290. This includes preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for bridge superstructure replacement, and ensuring compliance with department policies and local agency requirements. The project involves replacing existing bridge superstructures, parapets, and approach slabs, lengthening end spans with new abutments, and repairing piers. The structures included in this project are S.N. 016-2071 (Independence Boulevard North Bound over I-290), S.N. 016-2070 (Independence Boulevard South Bound over I-290), and S.N. 016-2072 (Central Park Avenue over I-290).
