The Various Hybrid Construction Engineering program encompasses a series of construction contracts across District One, focused on improving roadway safety, functionality, and infrastructure reliability. The work includes roadway resurfacing, pavement patching, drainage improvements, landscaped medians, curb and gutter removal and replacement, pavement marking, ADA sidewalk ramps, bridge deck overlays, and traffic signal modernization along multiple high-priority corridors. Contracts currently overseen include Butterfield Road (62T21) from Naperville Road to IL 59, Roosevelt Road (62G63) from Technology Road to Pierce Avenue, and Gary’s Mill Road (62X60) from Roosevelt Road to IL 59.
Comprehensive Construction Oversight
DB Sterlin provides full Construction Management services for the program, overseeing contractor activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications from notice-to-proceed through closeout. Responsibilities include generating pay estimates, preparing authorizations, chairing progress meetings, reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, resolving field issues, performing survey tasks, and maintaining complete project documentation.
Coordinating Multi-Contract Projects
The PTB 213‑005 program requires simultaneous management of multiple contracts across different corridors. DB Sterlin conducts coordination with project teams, ensures proper sequencing and quality control, monitors schedule adherence, and verifies material compliance. The team’s efforts help maintain efficient project delivery while minimizing disruptions to traffic and the surrounding communities.
