Many inspections required close coordination with the Chicago Department of Aviation to manage airside access and maintain safety during highway lane closures. These field assessments provided critical insight into the current condition of each structure and identified both immediate and long-term maintenance needs.

DB Sterlin prepared detailed Structure Condition Reports for all bridges, tunnels, and culverts, documenting existing conditions and providing actionable recommendations for rehabilitation and repair. All NBIS inspections were completed with the required IDOT forms, ensuring compliance with FHWA, IDOT, and CDOT standards. This rigorous documentation supports public safety, regulatory adherence, and strategic infrastructure planning.
